Save the Racine Public Library From Mayor John Dickert! My view

malcolmx1_1280x7202

Full discloser I worded for the Racine  Library sometime ago

Libraries are critical what others have said

I spent three days a week for 10 years educating myself in the public library, and it’s better than college. People should educate themselves – you can get a complete education for no money. At the end of 10 years, I had read every book in the library and I’d written a thousand stories.

Best there is no end of what might be learned from the act of going to the Library.
When I was a child in Baraboo WI my Mom and Dad made a point of making sure did I not learn how to read they read to me at a young age and my Dad taught me how to read when I was about 4 .
Early on, I discovered  all the cool books I could get from the Baraboo Library.
Oh the world of Books the information!
After the Army I discovered  the U.W. Madison Library system with more information then I could think of ….
Even in my early days recovering from Alcoholism the  Library was a place of refuge.
Today I go to the Racine Library a few times each month.
Yes things have changed far more then just books  can be found there from programing to engage youth, DVD’s, and public Computers can be found there they can and are being used by many from Facebook to others using You Tube to discover this big world we live in.
Per $$ spent I  think there is no better investment that any City can make then the public Library.
So then why the hate from Mayor Dickert with the Cut backs?
KKK Mayor Dickert at a City meeting on Downtown Racine?
Is it to save $$ I cant think that if we can spend millions on Rootworks a million on City Hall (and his pal making Bank with the Bathrooms) could not cuts come from that? Or is there an another plan?
Why Yes Young Jedi there just might be.
I am thinking that our Real Estate maybe looking to find room for a Hotel/Convention Center where the Racine Public  Library/YMCA stand now.
Lets take a look at a map
2014-10-18_10-06-22_577
Why look in the upper left hand corner we have the YMCA!
What would they ever do with that Empty Building? Why of course sell in to the City or a pal of our Mayor to start this hotel/center
Yet IMHO they need more room the Library would provide this added room.
and then we have this
From the Racine Journal Times
Urban Pioneer – October 22, 2014 11:55 amIt is time for the Library to address the reality of the 21st century. Close and sell the land on Lake Michigan shoreline..It makes ZERO sense to maintain a tax dollars consuming property on land that could easily b rebuilt as a tax PRODUCING property if it was developed by the private sector. Second sell the land on Spring and Neumann Rd. Then take the combined monies and the Library’s reserve fund (Which I believe is around 10 million dollars. and build a new library on the property of the WesTowne theater. Ohio and Washington Ave. Its centrally located, and easy access for most of Racines low income students and families, and everyone else as well. Also easy access for Caledonia and Mt Pleasant users. Plenty of room for free parking. Close to shopping, groceries, the Post Office etc. This is a win-win for the entire community. Both the users and the non-users of the library system. Finally we can start collecting taxes from a high rise hotel or Condo development on the current library property and the YMCA on the lakefront land.
Looks to me that this poster does not understand that:
1) There is no real Bus system for anyone to use anyone and Minority Kids can get to this (Current) location vs most others, if ANYONE should have access to  a library its the minorities kids
2) Unless/until the Downtown becomes a gated community Minorities will coming to Downtown Racine.
3) Perhaps the library users do not shop downtown is what the heck is there to youth to shop at?  Bars and more Bars. Should we allow 12 year old kids to start drinking?
IMHO I see this attack on our  Racine  library as nothing more then the first step to building a Hotel/Center were once again Mayor John Dickert will use City $$ to have his pals make bank. That the story in the J-T and the post suggesting a move was just testing the waters for a push my our Mayor to get our beloved library to move
Thinking we need a good library far more then RootWorks or more City Contracts to our Mayor’s pals
Please call the Mayor’s Office and your Alderman and tell them to fully fund the library.
In fact the Inter Governmental fund was to be used for that very thing NOT BS like Team Porter’s and what happened to that idea?

Mayor John Dicker’s Police State part II

But first this

Read in the Journal Times the Balloon floated about ending our CATV station?

http://journaltimes.com/news/opinion/editorial/journal-times-editorial-belletv-must-be-sacrificed-for-the-good/article_16577f5e-618d-59ec-bc4d-a888704d9aa3.html

The headline is rather interesting

Journal Times editorial: BelleTV must be sacrificed for the good of the budget

Good of the budget or the Good of the Police State ran by Mayor John Dickert also known as the City of Racine?

After all if the Station was still ran as it was under Mr. Nelson (and I do hope he joins the RICO case) I would have and perhaps others such as Mr. Meyers would have ran CATV shows on The Rico civil case the games under the “Rootworks” banner, I and others would have had guests on telling viewers information that our fearless leader would you rather not hear for only with a dumbed down public not asking questions not contacting  say the IRS , can he be free to enrich his pals I mean help the City of Racine  and after all we blogers just do not understand.

So after a long fight (but very embarrassing to the City) The Mayor was able to gain control give a pal money (far more then the operating costs  under Mr. Nelson) to effectively end the Racine in Ruins TV show on CAR 25 (but they can still be seen on You tube) in about one year the new operators would find be unable to get public backing unable to find $$ in sponsorships  (Chase Henrix still like to know what happened to his $$ he gave the City and other issues)  would find the first ever Ethics Hearing over Mary Osterman and advertising and then the City ending the Contract with the new operator but not a range of questions on many topics But I think the RICO will be addressing them.

IMHO Our Mayor does not want ANYONE he can not control having access to the Media so only the News he wishes you to know can get out to the public, so we can know how great he is.

One commenter said it best:

“Now the Journal Times is advocating and influencing city council to break laws and contracts to eliminate one of the only other local media outlets in Racine?

This is completely corrupt and full of lies. This is breaking the agreements that provide for public access and resources. This is stealing from the community.

The public access channel has no virtually no impact on the budget, and this is a corrupt ploy to pit public services and the community against each other.

Look at how this all happened:
– Dickert did not want black people or any naysayers on the channel, and also wanted to reward his friends for supporting his campaign.
– Dickert created an illegal no bid contract for his friend to take over the channel.
– Dickert lost that argument because it was completely illegal and pushed through without any input from city council or committees, and then city council created new laws for bids.
– Dickert removed people from the cable commission and stacked it with friends and cronies.
– Dickert and his cronies tried ousting the staff and took away all support.
– Dickert and his cronies lied to create a new vision to get rid of the staff and take over the channel.
– Dickert and his cronies wrote the RFP for themselves and their friends to get the rigged contract to take over the channel.
– Dickert and his cronies messed up the first RFP and secretly negotiated with certain people and companies to properly rig it a second time.
– Dickert and his cronies gave inside information and held secret meetings to select friends to ensure they would go along with the revised bid rigging process.
– The purchasing manager retired in the middle of the process and the new person claimed she didn’t know the process or anything about it.
– Dickert and his cronies held illlegal meetings and broke open meeting laws and created crony subcommittees to get rigged recommendations to help justify the bid rigging process.
– Dickert and his cronies lied to city council and the public about everything from the budget to advertising to sustainability to employee performance and more.
– Dickert himself conducted interviews during the bidding process and made false accusations throughout the process.
– City attorneys, staff and Aldermen were coerced, bribed or bullied into lying about the process and reasoning for the rigged contract.
– Dickert and his cronies pushed theough the corrupt rigged contract, and gave even more equipment, resources, projects, support and money including an illegal extension and change orders for the contract adding at least another $30,000 or more.
– Dickert and his cronies provided direct kickbacks to commission members in thousands of dollars in advertising and use of equipment for their own profit.
– Dickert and his cronies continue to lie about staffing, costs, equipment, savings, and public access to resources and services while they use the channel to promote other corrupt agendas.

This should be for the community, not for Dickert and his cronies. Everyone involved in this should be questioned in the RICO case. The Journal Times is just printing more lies for them. It’s great to know that our newspaper hates our community.”

As you may know our Racine Police Force now has I understand a program to track what folks are saying on Social Media as I said before we have all read stories on fools who post on say Facebook crimes they did.

Sadly, I am thinking this program is being used to see what I and others are saying on Social Media to see what “The Enemies of the State” are saying and perhaps doing in the Police State of the City of Racine, after all as we have been told its the fault of the Blogers that so much is wrong in this fair City.

Not the fault of say poor planing by Team Porters or Banks having questions and pulling $$ from Machinery Row development, as I keep hearing is the case. No its blogs like mine I must STFU so Mayor John Dickert can bless the City of Racine with his Godhood.

mdw  Has she been blessed?

tumblr_n2l3tzYzb61spj0ojo1_1280 Or has she been blessed?

After you get your Tax Bill and have to pay A wheel Tax will you feel blessed?

Are you not happy to live in a City who has effectively laid off police but can find money to create a Police State to protect the rein of Mayor John Dickert?

Thank God the RICO case will blow the lid off the City and our petty secrets

Souls for Sale Racine Aldermen sell them cheep

iEvil

“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26

Read the Paper yet? If not have a drink first perhaps a Bottle

From The Racine Journal Times 9/4/14

….

“On Wednesday, the Committee of the Whole voted 6-4 to receive and file Alderman Eddie Diehl’s proposal to create a policy that would require anyone taking a trip on the city’s dime to submit a written summary about why the trip is necessary.

Diehl as well as aldermen Krystyna Sarrazin, Mike Shields and Henry Perez voted against receiving and filing the proposal. Diehl announced officially last week he is running for mayor.” … (why is the last part even in the story Oh I know Diehl must be discredited, I get it)

So a short report is too much to ask before the City starts spending money but lets keep reading,

…The one-page summary would have had to spell out the purpose of the trip, including an explanation of why travel is necessary or why the aim could not be achieved through a conference call or web meeting, as well as the goals of the trip.

An additional one-page summary of the accomplishments of the trip and the next steps would be required upon the employee’s return.

“I want the council to be able see what other people are doing and how money is being spent. It’s another way for the council to be the eyes and ears for the taxpayer,” Diehl said of the proposal last month…. looks O.K. to me

But not to Mayor John Dickert’s good pal keep reading

– they trusted department officials to make the right decisions regarding employee travel.

Others disagreed more sharply.

“The best way I can describe this (proposal) is micromanagement,” Alderman Q.A. Shakoor II said.

Wait a simple one page form is too much to ask? to try and save money in a city that has none, and effectivey laid off  Policemen, turned off street lights to save money and in the past our Mayor has begged Nonprofits for money? BTW we just lost another Tax Assessment case must pay a sum of money back, and there are at least two more Tax cases in the Court, but trying to save a few $$ is as Q.A. said Micromanaging?

Wild, fucking wild, of course Q.A. did little if anything to slow down Team Porters or Delta Hawk spending that cost the City how much?

Now the City is looking at Machinery Row and how much will that cost the City well I should say cost us we be the suckers paying for it.

After all Q.A. thinks we simply should trust our City Leadership after all they done a good job keeping us at number one, in unemployment!   Keeping the City out of court like the Unions suing the Rico Case all the Tax cases in court. How dare anyone not trust our Mayor who is after all Mayor 274/7 when he is not working for a Lobbying firm or making sure women in Racine have a good time

VOTE NO ON THE RUSD MONEY GRAB!

My view

The J-T Headline This AM

“Schools seek $8.5 million – Unified to ask voters for 15 years of additional revenue”

What???

How dare RUSD ask for 1 more $$ yet alone 8.5 Million in a time that MORE in Racine are Unemployed, The City of Racine it’s self is not filling openings on the Police Force to basically lay off 10 police officers  and the City of Racine facing a RICO lawsuit court fights over tax assessments, and not being able to keep what few events at the Civic Center coming back.

Economic turmoil going on as we speak with a long time Racine employer moving out of the city taking 300 jobs with it.

Yet RUSD is asking for more money to “run” the schools WTF!!!

Schools that cant get Minority kids to graduate, scores of the RUSD Schools should be getting “Leadership” at RUSD fired for such poor piss poor ability to teach kids have no shame in demanding more of YOUR money.

As I see it, RUSD as one of the commentators said today 8/14/14  should ask County Executive Jim Ladwig for some of the profits from Reefpoint Marina, perhaps from the restaurant that is paying NO RENT (must be nice) Maybe ask the DRC for a percentage of the millions spent on the booming downtown (Boy will they not be shocked with the higher property taxes coming via TIF 18 and Machinery Row)   I am sure the store owners will line up to chip in the stores on 6th St will insist on being first to do so!

And Porters being so so successful with Roll out the big bucks as will Delta Hawk for all the Jobs they have brought to Racine!

As I see it, the City of Racine is as I call this blog a City in Ruins run now by a Mayor that history will say was one of the most corrupt in the Midwest ever.

Yet RUSD wants more of your money, After all cost lots of money to pay Administration 100K+ to fail to teach kids so we have have a vast pool of unemployable workers to work at min wage jobs or become addicted to State benefits to keep the Democrats in power.

Could be worse our other elected officials could be just having one great party Oh…

Van Wangard & Mayor Dickert

Has John Gotti Possessed Mayor John Dickert? or my .02 on today’s news on the RICO

jg

Before we dance with joy in the streets fans of John Dickert, please note the Story of the man above

John Gotti in case you may have no clue being far too busy say selling hats or thinking of ways to get $$ from the public lets review

From Wikpedia:

John Joseph Gotti, Jr. (October 27, 1940 – June 10, 2002) was an American mobster who became the Boss of the Gambino crime family in New York City. Gotti and his brothers grew up in poverty and turned to a life of crime at an early age. Operating out of the Ozone Park neighborhood of Queens, Gotti quickly rose to prominence, becoming one of the crime family’s biggest earners and a protégé of Gambino family underboss Aniello Dellacroce.

After the Federal Bureau of Investigation indicted members of Gotti’s crew for selling narcotics, Gotti took advantage of growing dissent over the leadership of the crime family. Fearing he and his men would be killed by Gambino crime family Boss Paul Castellano for selling drugs, Gotti organized the murder of Castellano in December 1985 and took over the family shortly thereafter. One of the key details was waiting for the moment after the death of Aniello Dellacroce, who died a few weeks earlier from natural causes. Dellacroce had risen to the position of underboss when Carlo Gambino moved Joseph Biondo aside.

This left Gotti as the boss of one of the most powerful crime families in America, one that made hundreds of millions of dollars a year from construction, hijacking, loan sharking, gambling, extortion and other criminal activities. Gotti was one of the most powerful crime bosses during his era and became widely known for his outspoken personality and flamboyant style, which gained him favor with much of the general public. While his peers avoided attracting attention, especially from the media, Gotti became known as the “The Dapper Don” for his expensive clothes and personality in front of news cameras. He was later given the nickname “The Teflon Don” after three high-profile trials in the 1980s resulted in his acquittal, though it was later revealed that the verdicts were the result of jury tampering, juror misconduct and witness intimidation. Law enforcement authorities continued gathering evidence against Gotti that helped lead to his downfall.

Gotti’s underboss Salvatore “Sammy the Bull” Gravano is credited with the FBI’s success in finally convicting Gotti. In 1991, Gravano agreed to turn state’s evidence and testify for the prosecution against Gotti after hearing Gotti on wiretap make several disparaging remarks about Gravano and questioning his loyalty. In 1992, Gotti was convicted of five murders, conspiracy to commit murder, racketeering, obstruction of justice, illegal gambling, extortion, tax evasion, and loansharking. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole and was transferred to United States Penitentiary, Marion. Gotti died of throat cancer on June 10, 2002, at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri.

As you can see time and again he seams to have got over on the law and to some was untouchable

Perhaps after his death Gotti somehow was able to gain control of John Dickert to some how keep his (Gotti’s) activities going?

After all for sometime The City of Racine we find out more and more on actions that upset many in this fair city CAR 25-Mound Cemetery,Team Porter’s, Rootworks, and so on and now today’s action in the RICO case BUT as much as the Journal Times of Racine done a more piss ass story then usual even for them I have a copy of the order,I also used my phone and talked to a Mr. Green (source of legal info) Mr. X who knows many of the Bar Owners in question and the order the Order I copied it below.

“IT IS ORDERED that the plaintiffs’ complaint be and the same is
hereby DISMISSED without prejudice; the plaintiffs shall file an amended
complaint within 21 days of the entry of this order; the defendants shall have
21 days after the plaintiffs have filed an amended complaint to file their
respective answers or appropriate motions.”

As it was explained to me that the Judge wants more information if this is to go ahead, that in a Amended  complaint that we could find Affidavits of information, Documents and even taped statements.

Again as it was explained to me this is a very very complicated case this is far from over

nor is the cost of this to the tax payers of Racine.

We too, need to recall what was the outcome of Gotti life of crime he died in prison was all the money worth that?  How do we go about finding out on how to remove Gotti from our beloved Mayor should we find out we need to?

Mr. Green did say this should this get refiled is it a new case with a new pool of $100K of city $$ or more of the old case with the insurance picking up the tab?

Also if it does get refiled how do the poor slugs not covered by the City of Racine keep paying $100-$200 maybe even $300 an Hour for Lawyers?

And for you

Do not worry be happy!

Got a call yesterday and the caller and I talked of many thing, as I hope I was able to explain myself and give my thoughts on the questions he asked (I still think the call was recorded) the big take away I have is this, if I only tried harder to fit in if I only wrote more positively on Racine and our Mayor/City the doors that would open …

I have herd that before more then once and I am kinda shocked that that folks still believe that

Somehow if we only said good things the issues that bring this city into ruin somehow would go away.

To buy into this idea and I do not we would need to forget oh lets name a few issues

Team Porters the misinformation to the whole deal falling apart

Delta Hawk and the lack of jobs this company spoke of when they came here

The Poor job Racine Unified has done and IMHO still continues to do.

The falling property values of the City of Racine

Issues on the Downtown/Reef Point

The RICO suit

and that is just a few.

Is the idea if we do not talk about the above and give Mayor John Dickert an open check book things will be better or maybe if we let the Mayor go wild and his pals get bank we might get our turn! You tell me I have no clue

Maybe if only Hitler’s staff been more positive abut  the Eastern front the Red Army would not have taken Berlin!

So  as I see my taxes go up up up more jobs leave Racine more folks leave Racine, more empty houses falling apart. A Downtown looking to needing to get more city money our money to stay alive I just sit back put on a shirt and tie because   my ship is coming in! After all lets not worry and be happy!

I will say this I do like this photo Do you think his wife does?

tumblr_n2l3tzYzb61spj0ojo1_1280

A visit with Mr. Green My .02

100's

Quite the time last night with Mr. Green and you will want to buy some K.Y. lots of it.

After reading the last story on the Lawsuit on the Mayor and his pals with a bit of talking to others on what they thought was going on … I now believe (and you may not) :

The Lawyers for the defendants are charging around $800 an Hour   That be the lawyers and their staff+ expenses.

That with the number of parties the City will be defending that the Lawyers for the City are willing I guess 10 hours a week, that be $8000 every week every week. The Lawyers will be paid guess who gets to pay?

Gets better. Once the City of Racine taps into the insurance  others start having a say in what happens when, see the Insurance companies may start demanding a settlement before the case hits a court room and the possibility of three times the damages.

That could be a bit of money min of what 10 million 30 million maybe more…  oh and the plaintiffs Lawyers get paid too.

Interesting too at what point do the noncity of Racine officials get their own lawyers?  As well how do they get the money to pay them?

Maybe some of the defendants do not have the $$ to get a lawyer or perhaps fear that they will be found by the Court they acted outside their office? How do they come up with the money? What do they do? Call the other side and see if they can work out a deal?    Maybe former Mayor Becker feels he has no choose but to try and make a deal?  What might he know?

The best part, what happens if the Feds or the State is waiting to see if/when they charge say for Wire Fraud or Campaign Financing issues. Who loses maybe someone flips for that alone? You think Becker wants to go back to jail?

Does John Dickert sleep at night anymore?

As a freelance reporter (if only here)   what interesting information will this bring out? This for that alone to keep information out of the public eye I think Settlement will be sooner then latter.

Flash news! Team Porter’s is DEAD!! My 2 bits

Wowers! News from the J-T

Porters project stopped — Buildings to be removed to make clear development site”

Wowers!! Just before New Years we were told We were just days away

http://journaltimes.com/news/local/porters-project-awaiting-final-development-pact/article_ca0d9cca-638c-11e3-b1c9-0019bb2963f4.html

From the story

“There is no major dispute; it’s all wordsmithing,” O’Connell said. “… The details matter, and the attorneys are paying attention to details.”

“I think by the end of the year our development agreement will be final,” he said.     That was 12/12/13

Now just around 40 days away Team Porter’s is DEAD DEAD DEAD just like some say Downtown Racine is.

Bet Mayor Dickert is one unhappy Camper after all the time and  PR spent on the great Team Porters!  To see something going from being signed by the end of the year.

So now The new idea is to tear the whole thing down and build something new Again from the J-T Story

“Mayor John Dickert said his office will work with Waters to find a new developer for the site which is slightly more than one acre. He said it would be right for developments such as:

– A corporate office building. There have been such inquiries in the past but without a sufficiently large site, Dickert said.

– A hotel.

– Ground-floor commercial structure with housing above, as the Porters project was to have been….”

40 days from almost being a done deal to this.

Questions I have include

Did the City of Racine have any idea this was coming?

Will Waters get paid anything from this?

Will this end a police/fire investigation from the pipe leak?

How much if anything did insurance pay out?

Will the City of Racine buy this now worthless I guess lot

If so  for how much?

Will this end the TIF/BID

Who will get the contract to tear it down? I bet we already know

Does this not go to more show how worthless Downtown Racine is? Did $$ not come in as was maybe needed because of falling property values?  Recall that the old Historic Century Market sold for less then I think 10% of assessed value just a few weeks ago.

IMHO this is a big sigh the Downtown Racine is dead not coming back to life and its time to stop spending good City and County money on the pals of John Dickert and Jim Ladwig

Sure liked seeing Kaplin on Belle City TV at 7 PM but is running old TV shows what we are paying 150K + for?

Downtown Racine are you connected? My .02

Thinking of starting a Business in Downtown Racine? Great! You can get building cheep!  Look at 522 6th St. Sold for 40K YES! that’s right a building that was assessed a few years ago at 700K sold for less 10% of what we are told this great building one block away from city hall is worth far less then my home is worth.  Wow.

What does that say for the real worth of Downtown? Let’s ask this question  how are the Businesses Downtown doing? I think for shit.

Why do I care easy! We tax payers are spending lots of hard earned cash supporting of just what 1.5 squire?

Question is 1) how much money is being dumped in this area? 2) When if ever will the gravy train end? 3) for what? How does this spending help the real issues of The City like lack of jobs?

From what I see Porter’s has done NOTHING and no one knows why?  I think nothing will get done to the point of taking bets (I only bet things of no real  value like Gum) if it ever starts.

in 2012 we are told about the project 2/9/12

http://journaltimes.com/news/local/porters-of-racine-to-become-million-redevelopment/article_caec008c-5358-11e1-a2d1-001871e3ce6c.html   2/9/12

RACINE — The former Porters of Racine’s owners Thursday announced a $5.5 million redevelopment of the building into 37 apartments and seven ground-floor retail spaces.

The renovated structure at 301 Sixth St. will be named the Porters of Racine Building, said developer Micah Waters who co-owns the property with his uncle Bob Waters. The name refers to the high-end furniture store that lasted 152 years before closing about two years ago.

During its final months, Micah Waters, an architect, and his firm, Signature Architecture — also at 301 Sixth St. — began working on a reuse plan for the 80,000-square-foot structure that started as nine different buildings….

Then after some time we have this  7/13/13

http://journaltimes.com/news/local/porters-project-moves-ahead/article_133b80fa-eb7a-11e2-972a-001a4bcf887a.html

RACINE — Construction could start for a major Downtown redevelopment, the $6 million Porters of Racine project, within two months.

On Friday, developer and building owner Micah Waters said they are now about halfway through the process of doing architectural drawings with a structural engineer, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer and plumbing engineer. Those drawings must be submitted for state approval — not the City of Racine — because of the project’s large size.

No local permits will be needed; as soon as Waters has state permits, interior demolition can start.

“With the adjusted construction schedule, it looks like the beginning of September” for construction to start, Waters said. Construction is expected to take about 16 months, which would have the project being finished by about the end of 2014.

Note this quote ““With the adjusted construction schedule, it looks like the beginning of September” for construction to start, Waters said” …

Now its 12/13 and still nothing. NOTHING We are told everything is in place but….

Maybe nothing will after all even the Hot Dog guy cant make it in Downtown Racine

http://journaltimes.com/business/local/top-dog-hot-dogs-closes-downtown-store/article_dd4088ae-6f93-11e2-9b87-001a4bcf887a.html

“RACINE — Top Dog Hot Dogs owner Caleb Robinson has closed his store on Monument Square, but the head of Downtown Racine Corp. hopes to eventually get him another storefront.

Top Dog’s last day at 520 Main St. on Monument Square was Friday. Without elaborating, Robinson said he had loans and tax obligations that required him to slash overhead.

“It seemed like for every step I took forward, I was taking two steps back,” he said Monday…”.

Note this quote.. “Robinson said he had loans and tax obligations that required him to slash overhead. “It seemed like for every step I took forward, I was taking two steps back,” he said Monday…”

In other words he could not sell enough Hot Dogs to pay the bills with taxes leading the list.

That is if you pay your taxes, we know from other reports we have businesses in the great downtown that are not paying taxes from Sales to Propriety Tax.

We know that the County is paying the City the property taxes that are owed but to me does nothing to seize the buildings that owe the back property . Why is it the job of Union Grove to pay the taxes owed by Downtown Property owners?

Might this photo explain?

Worse we are told that if we just get more members of the GOP in Madison things will change but I think not

Van Wangard & Mayor Dickert

Getting to think that be it GOP or Democrats its all a game. SAy what the Sheep want to hear and drive on after all its all about the money, who gets it and how

JDnazi

I hope I am wrong but I think not.   Lots of ways this helps from votes to maybe envelopes put in cars like happened in Kenosha County.

Flow-of-funds-5a

Of course with no real change in Racine or Downtown Racine other then looting and crony Capitalism end result will be a fleeing population and crashing property values

See example
